The Lead Payroll Administrator position's responsibility is to assist the Payroll Manager and act as the team lead to ensure that all payroll processes are executed accurately and timely in compliance with all required payroll legislation (provincial and federal), procedures, and policies for Pomeroy Lodging.

Primary Responsibilities
- Utilizing comprehensive payroll knowledge and experience to ensure the preparation, processing, and administration for all aspects of bi-weekly payrolls for full-time, part-time, casual, and salaried employees.
- Taking hands-on approach in all aspects of processing the payrolls; including making required adjustments, computing and processing wages, deductions, and any other non-regular wage payments, performing month end responsibilities, ensuring proper reports are pulled and distributed and completing any other payroll processes responsibilities.
- Ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed to deliver on the execution of the payroll cycles, including reconciliations, payroll accounting data entry, posting journal entries and submitting payment requests.
- Act as primary point of contact for any escalated payroll queries, ensure all escalations are communicated to the Payroll Manager
- Aids with verifying accurate calculation of earnings, tax withholding, deductions, benefit premiums, new hire set up and terminations, and other payroll and benefit entries.
- Assists with benefit administration and reconciliation.
- Assists and contributes to the development of processes and procedures.
- Aids the Payroll Manager on various payroll related tasks such as annual returns, year-end processing, reporting, and T4s.
- Taking the lead to providing ongoing support, mentors, and assists with training to all members of the payroll team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Passions/Education
- Minimum 3 years of related large-scale/high volume, full cycle payroll experience.
- Candidates must have their Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation with the National Payroll Institute.
- Strong working knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia payroll legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent computer, interpersonal communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities with a proven high-level of efficiency and accuracy.
- Experience with Sage Accpac for accounting and payroll preferred.
Terms of Employment

Job Description
As the Maintenance Engineer, you are authorized to exceed guest expectations by creating “picture perfect” guest experiences throughout the hotel each and every shift. You will achieve excellence by facilitating the day-to-day maintenance of the property, including minor repairs and improvements, preventative maintenance, championing life & safety standards, collaborating with Corporate Office on major repairs and improvements and supporting other operational departments. Your efforts will align to deliver the best quality products, improve both guest and employee satisfaction and deliver against key financial goals and performance metrics for your department.
A Maintenance Engineer will perform some or all of the following duties:
- Inspecting the condition of the property is an important part of the job; maintain and promptly repair what you can. Document and report immediately all deficiencies you can’t fix.
- Meeting with your team daily, weekly and monthly; keeping your people informed of property and corporate goals. Achieving a target of 50% conversion ratio on all incoming inquiries
- Guarding our guests and your own personal safety and security is paramount; you must know and practice all emergency procedures for the hotel and policies that protect the privacy and security of our guests and yourself.
- Owning the guest experience by maintaining the physical building, grounds, guest rooms, and amenities to their fullest potential.

Job Title: CHEF DE PARTIE
We are recruiting for (4) Chef de Partie positions (NOC 6321). The positions are full-time 30-40 hours per week, permanent with an hourly rate of $25.40. Overtime may be necessary as required paid at time and half.
Job duties:

The Role:
As a Room Attendant, you are expected to look at each room that you service through the eyes of the guest and using attention to detail meet or exceed the required cleanliness standards. All this is achieved with health and safety also being top of mind. The positions are full-time 30-40 hours per week. The position may work night shifts as a public area cleaning attendant, which includes a shift premium.
Job duties:
- Ensure that the guest rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable; surpassing our strict set of quality standards.
- Identify and communicate maintenance deficiencies and opportunities to the appropriate department.

- Replenish all amenity supplies and linen
- Organize and maintain adequate supply of relevant items on the cart and in the stock room

- Physical requirement:
- Able to lift 10 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Bend, stand, reach for extended periods of time, throughout the day
- Push cart weighing 50 lbs several times throughout the day

The Role:
As a Guest Service Agent (GSA) with our Rooms Division, you will be an important member of a team that creates an atmosphere of exceeding guest expectations, each and every shift. Job duties:
- Checking guests into the hotel, checking out guests from the hotel and provide service whenever required
- Provide courteous, professional and attentive guest service at all times
- Establishing a personal rapport with the guest in order to learn about their needs and expectations
- Actively seek feedback from guests, following up and taking action to exceed guest expectations, whether that is to wow the guest, or in service recovery
- A personalized touch during all guest interactions to ensure they feel welcome and special
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts mornings, afternoons, evenings and holidays

The Role:

Qualifications:
- Spends most of each shift in operations delivering quality 1st impressions on the grounds, pool decks, and in outbuildings and public areas.
- Maintains a safe and clean pool deck; by organizing and picking up furniture, towels, robes, and debris.
- Completes washing schedules assigned or outlined in daily checklists.
- Taking and testing water samples to monitor pool water chemistry and making adjustments to maintain the quality standards.
- Checks that the pool filtration system is in good working condition at prescribed times throughout their shift.
- Prevents minor maintenance issues from becoming major issues by promptly addressing all assigned maintenance work orders.
- Reports/logs all maintenance issues immediately that are beyond the skill set of the employee to fix on their own.
- Cleaning, clearing and maintaining all outdoor walkways, pathways, and green spaces.
- Assigned tasks are completed in a manner that does not usually require follow-up, both in terms of timeliness and quality.

- Ensure BCLC & GPEB Policies, Procedures, and Regulations, along with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Internal Department Procedures (IDP) are conducted to the highest integrity level and professionalism.
- Proactively observe and review videos to complete required documentation of specific incidents, including, but not limited to, customer complaints, procedural errors, risk management issues, AML investigation, player evaluations, thefts, and discrepancies.

- Complete daily logs, prepare compliance review reports and incident reports as required.

Job Description
As a Housekeeping Attendant, you have the authority to exceed guest expectations by creating the “picture-perfect” guest experience throughout the hotel. Your role is crucial because you are pivotal in the guest’s first impression of the hotel. From cleaning the hotel lobby right through to cleaning guest rooms, the guest’s first impression of cleanliness is a powerful and lasting one.

Key Focuses
- Maintains a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor during all guest encounters and responds appropriately to guest complaints.
- Ensures the guest rooms, public areas, and storage areas are “picture-perfect” for optimal first impressions.
- Prepares for shift with a well-stocked cart, including approved cleaning and guest room supplies. Ensures vacuum, mop, and dusters are clean and in good working order.
- Vacuums, dusts, cleans, sweeps, polishes, and restocks the required number of guest rooms.
- Respects guest property and privacy; adheres to lost and found procedures on all items found in guest rooms and public areas.
- Understands and practices all emergency procedures for the hotel.
Experience/Passions/Education
- Previous experience in housekeeping or in a hotel is an asset.
- Proficient in English.
- Attention to detail and pride in a job done well.
Working Conditions
This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, that requires continuous physical movement and the ability to manage multiple sequences and demands. This position will require periods of independent work and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
